Iberia has once again been recognised as the most punctual global airline network with 88.97% of its flights on time.

For the second year running, Iberia and Iberia Express have been named the most punctual international airline network in the world, according FlightGlobal's annual punctuality report.

Iberia also came out on top amongst major European airlines, with 89.54% of its European flights on time.

These results demonstrate that over the last five years, Iberia has consistently improved its position in the punctuality ranking, one of the most highly rated by customers, to rise to the top slot. It occupied the fourth position in 2013, third in 2014, second in 2015 and first in 2016 and 2017.

Iberia CEO Luis Gallego said, "We are very proud to achieve this award for the second year in a row. Many global airlines perform very well, improve every year, and have their sights set on becoming the most punctual in the world... The fact that we have managed to do just that for the second year running, maintaining the quality standards we want and that our customers expect, is an enormous satisfaction.
