The Iberia Group, comprising Iberia, Iberia Express, and Iberia Regional Air Nostrum, is set to operate 5,471 flights this Easter, marking a 7.69 percent increase from last year.

From 22 March to 1 April 2024, travellers can choose from a plethora of destinations, with Paris, Rome, New York, Athens, and the Dominican Republic emerging as the top international choices. To accommodate the surge in demand, additional flights have been introduced on popular routes such as Madrid-Rome and Madrid-Athens.

Anticipating the influx of travellers, the Iberia Group has advanced the start of its summer season, unveiling new routes to Tirana, Dubrovnik, Zagreb, Catania, and Ponta Delgada, available until 30 October 2024.

María Jesús Lopéz Solas, Iberia's commercial director, affirms the strategic decision to expand offerings, stating, "Holy Week sees a concentrated surge in travel, prompting us to enhance seat availability to high-demand destinations and introduce new routes scheduled for the summer season."

Within Spain, the Canary Islands remain a preferred destination, with Iberia Express boosting operations with 96 additional flights and over 16,900 seats. The Balearic Islands also witness an increase in service, with nearly 50,000 seats available and 18 additional flights focusing on Mallorca and Menorca.
